1989-1991 studies in Art, Philosophy, Sociology & art history at the Academy of Arts Duesseldorf & Westfälische Wilhelmsuniversität Münster

1991 “Meisterschueler” at the Academy of Arts Düsseldorf (Kunstakademie Düsseldorf)

1994–2001 Assistant Professor at the RWTH Aachen (Technical University Aachen) at the chair of building construction and design.

1996 Scholarship at Plus-Min Stichting, Rotterdam-Renesse, The Netherlands

1999 Villa Massimo Fellowship, Rome. Italy

2001-2002 Head of the Design and Architecture Department of a company in Hamburg, creating an interactive 3-D online world for the internet.

2000-2002 Illustrator for the weekly german newspaper “Die Zeit“, Hamburg

2002 Visiting Professor in the field of “experimental design with new media” at the TU- Darmstadt (Technical University Darmstadt), College of Architecture.
