Transparency & Paradox
The apparent openness, the permeability of the events of various semi-transparent levels connect undisputed pictorial levels that are true in themselves.
The addition could result in an image that is basically a lie, since the distances and relationships between the image levels do not form a synchronous connection.
As a rule, a lie contradicts a.) the facts, b.) represents a contradiction to the actual intention of the picture and c.) by definition creates a deliberately wrong idea in the viewer.
So if none of the three definitions apply, it should be the truth, although it is their permeability just described favors lies.
So we may be looking at a paradox whenever we suspect transparency.
But we could also accept another hypothesis: what if there is no truth at all and a possible reality is always revealed to us only indistinctly and mysteriously as a space of options in our individual memory?
